| For over 50 years Bovano has produced stunning wall art and accessories using the process of "enameling" to bring vivid colors and style to metal sculpture. The crafting of Bovano works of art is a meticulous, time-consuming process. Once each creation is designed, its production requires hundreds of separate procedures, painstaking skill, and attention to detail. The centuries-old enameling process is begun by placing finely ground glass powder on solid copper shapes. Several different glass powders are used in combination to create individual colors, shadings, and coatings. Each piece is then heated to 1600 degrees F, resulting in a smooth, richly-colored glass coating on the copper. Finally, the separate pieces are assembled, using delicate welding techniques, into the completed sculptures. Because there is no painting involved in the Bovano process, the vibrant colors of these works of art will last indefinitely. Our Bovano catalog has a wide selection of Bovano wall art featuring hummingbirds, song birds, birdhouses, flowers, flowering branches, tropical fish, marine life, reef scenes, fresh water fish, herons, pelicans, shore birds, large birds, butterflies, and dragonflies. A few years ago Bovano took over production of Winifred Cole floral designs, when Winifred decided to retire. Winifred's wall art and tabletop sculptures have graced fine homes for more than 30 years. Bovano's skilled craftsmen were a natural choice to carry on production of Winifred's timeless sculptures, formed from quality ceramics, brass and copper. In 2006, Bovano joined forces with sculptor Max Howard to add a magnificent collection of wall art, table-top and freestanding art to the Bovano line-up. Max's designs, sculpted in brass and copper, feature many large wall pieces, as well as magnificent fountains and freestanding art. Bovano also introduced new "combo" pieces featuring elements of their fused glass pieces in combination with Max's copper and brass pieces.
