The first of the yachts to win the cup was the America herself. Launched in May, 1851, she lasted until 1947. | |||||
She served as a Confederate blockade runner and after being scuttled to avoid capture in the St. Johns River, Florida, she was salvaged and served as a Union dispatch boat. Sculpted in beautiful brass, with a dipped lacquer finish. Wall sculpture. | ||||||
