"Schooner America" in copper One of the oldest and greatest sporting events is the competition for the trophy now called "The Americas' Cup", and English pitcher which remained in America for over 100 years. The first of the yachts to win the cup was the America herself. Launched in May, 1851, she lasted until 1947. |

She served as a Confederate blockade runner and after being scuttled to avoid capture in the St. Johns River, Florida, she was salvaged and served as a Union dispatch boat. Sculpted in beautiful copper, with a dipped lacquer finish. Wall sculpture. |
